Suits - A guide to understanding the calibration system.

A suit can be bought ready to wear or custom. Outside peg custom made suits there a system in place to determine the size of sizes. Breast size in inches is the first and most important. The average size of a man's chest would be between 40 and 42 inches. Small men have a chest measuring 36 or 38 inches, while males are larger than 44 inches or more. If these dimensions should be converted to the scale of small, medium and large companies have the following;

36 - small

38, 40 - medium

42, 44 - great

46 - extra large

48 - Double Extra Large

Most manufacturers only offer a costume suit uniform sizes. In other words, you can not buy a size 37 or 41 for example. Sometimes, if you're between sizes, it is better to go to a tailor-made, because it allows a perfect fit.

Unless suit is sold in a mixture of small size and match (most suits are not) the corresponding size of the pants must be accepted. This is a table showing the sizes corresponding pant size costume different.

The next thing to consider is that the three different lengths suit comes in a short set for men is usually 5 feet and 9 inches or less. Regular is generally a man of medium height, while the time is the largest in humans. For example, if a man has a low height and chest 42, 42s 36s size will waisted trousers with matching.
